Quincey Trojanowski joined the Colorado Symphony as their new principal bassoonist in January of 2026 after receiving her Master’s Degree in Bassoon Performance from Rice University with Ben Kamins in May of 2025. Quincey also joined the Houston Grand Opera as their 2nd bassoonist in January 2025, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Bassoon Performance at the University of Texas at Austin with Kristin Wolfe Jensen in May 2023.

Originally from the Chicago area, Quincey is an alumna of the Merit School of Music and the Chicago Youth Symphony. Quincey has also played with the Chicago Symphony, Houston Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, and the San Antonio Philharmonic.

Quincey has a passion for cooking, is an amateur gardener, oil painter, hiker, and loves cats!
