Mr. Shaw holds a Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Denver, Masters of Arts in Viola, Rice Unversity, Masters of Conducting, University of Miami. James is currently a violist in Inside The Orchestra, Boulder Chamber Orchestra and Greeley Philharmonic. He is also a violist and chamber musician with the Mercury Ensemble. Mr. Shaw has held viola positions with the Florida Grand Opera and Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Shaw currently teaches violin and viola at Parlando School of Musical Arts and has previously taught violin, viola and chamber music at Rice University’s Shepherd school preparatory department in addition to string programs in New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Colorado. Mr. Shaw has also performed on the Holland America Cruise lines.
