Michelle Stanley, flute
Michelle Stanley

Stanley is Associate Professor of Music at Colorado State University.  She is an active teacher and performing musician. She travels frequently throughout Europe and the U.S. as a recitalist and master teacher, most recently having performed in Italy and Russia.  She is a faculty member at the Interharmony International Music Festival in Italy and principal flute of the Pro Music Chamber Orchestra and the Colorado Bach Ensemble. She is a recording artist for Parma records. Her first recording was released in 2005, and her second recording of French flute music will be released in January of 2018.  Stanley is also an active lecturer for many music associations and schools. She is a passionate musician and pedagogue with an enthusiastic approach to teaching and performing.

Stanley received a M.M. and D.M.A. in flute performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a B.A. in Music from the University of New Hampshire. She also attended Trinity College of Music in London where she studied with Anne Cherry.
