Margaret Gutierrez
An avid chamber and orchestral musician, violinist Margaret Soper Gutierrez has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that includes both performing and teaching.
She has performed and toured extensively with both the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and played under the baton of such eminent conductors as Leonard Slatkin, David Zinman, Osmo Vanska and Christoph Eschenbach.
As a member of the Maia Quartet, Margaret taught on the faculty of the University of Iowa and the National Music Camp at Interlochen. Margaret currently teaches violin at the University of Colorado in Boulder and plays with the Colorado Symphony, Opera Colorado and the Colorado Ballet orchestra.
When not playing or teaching, Margaret enjoys cooking and camping in the Rockies with her husband and two children.
