Allegra Wermuth, violin
Allegra Wermuth joined the Colorado Symphony in September 2003 as Assistant Principal Second Violin. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and Northern Illinois University, where she studied with Roland and Almita Vamos and Shmuel Ashkenasi, respectively. Along with her orchestral duties, she maintains a large teaching studio with students ranging from age 3 to 17. She teaches at Preludio, an intensive summer program for highly talented young violinists at Ithaca College. Allegra lives with her daughter in the Green Mountain area outside of Denver, where she enjoys the Denver skyline as well as the mountains.
